Disc Setter-T2

The so called tensioner is one of two components that is used with disc tumbler-/disc detainer locks. We currently offer 2 models here: T2 and T10. The T2 model is designed in such a way that the tensioner is inserted into the keyway as far as it goes in order to achieve pre-tensioning in the lower part of the keyway. The T10 model works the other way round. Here the tensioner is only inserted partly into the keyway and the pre-tension is induced on the upper part of the keyway. 

The so called disc setter with tensioner is used for disc tumbler-/disc detainer locks. The disc turner-D03 is a tool intended for pre-positioning the discs in the cylinder. Before you commence setting the individual discs, the disc turner is inserted into the keyway and turned in a clockwise direction until it comes to a stop. This sets all the discs in an initial position. Then you can start setting the discs. 

Many times big door handles or other obstacles make the actual bumping a real pain. Why not place the point of impact further away from the door? Our new Bump Key Extension-Grip does exactly that! It facilitates slowing down the bump key / impact, it allows controlling the direction of the impact more easily and it makes missing the key much more difficult, which will allow you to fully concentrate on bumping and rotation.  

Disc detainer locks are mainly padlocks and bicycle locks. The area of deployment is broad and can be found all over the world. With the ARES from Multipick and a little practice, you will be able to open almost any disc detainer lock. Furthermore, we offer common scales for Abus and Abloy. The difference is mainly in the graduation of 2mm (Abus, Abloy) and 1.6mm (Abloy). The scales are guides to make it easier to find the positions of the individual discs. The graduations already mentioned are the most widely used on the market. Of course, you can also use the scales for any other disc detainer lock. However, the graduation can then only be used as a reference. With the Multipick ARES Opening System, you have all the options to build the right tool for opening disc detainer locks. With this set you will be able to open even tough locks. The basic module offers you the possibility to modularly expand your system.  Our ARES is made of high-quality aluminium with an anodised coating and a special steel alloy, as used in all our products. In order to achieve smooth running between the tensioning tool and the setting tool, a sliding sleeve has been integrated. A clear laser marking of the corresponding components ensures precise orientation during operation. More control can be achieved by individually screwing the handles included in the scope of delivery into the basic module. These are necessary in some cases, especially when using the drill recess version. Changing the individual components, such as the dimple pick, scale, positioning ring, key profile, tensioner and disc setter, can be carried out with minimal effort.
